John R. AlcornJohn R. Alcorn is officially certified as an Immigration and Nationality Law Specialist attorney. To achieve this high distinction, an attorney must have taken and passed a written examination in immigration and nationality law, demonstrated a high level of experience in this complex field of law, obtained favorable peer review recommendation, and fulfilled continuing legal education requirements.
Mr. Alcorn has served as a Commissioner on the Immigration and Nationality Law Advisory Commission of the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. He is admitted to practice law before the United States Supreme Court, offices of the United States Department of Homeland Security throughout all 50 states, all courts of the State of California, all courts of the District of Columbia, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Central and Northern Districts of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Stanford University awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science to Mr. Alcorn in 1970, and he received a Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1973. He served as a Captain and Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corps from 1974 to 1977, and worked on U.S. immigration matters for a major U.S. corporation from 1977 to 1979. He founded the Law Offices of John R. Alcorn in 1980.

Angie N. SigalaAngie N.Sigala was admitted to the State Bar of California in December 2006. She is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Mrs. Sigala graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1999 with a Bachelors degree in Political Science and a minor in Spanish Literature. She joined the Law Offices of John R. Alcorn in April of 2001 as a Paralegal. While working as a Paralegal, Mrs. Sigala attended Whittier Law School in the evenings. Mrs. Sigala graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in May of 2006.
Mrs. Sigala is of Mexican heritage and fluent in Spanish. As a bilingual attorney, Mrs. Sigala is able to provide Spanish speaking clients with the comfort of receiving legal services in their native language. back to top -
Ann L. KelleherAnn L. Kelleher graduated Magna Cum Laude from Whittier Law School in May 2006 and was admitted to practice law in California on December 5, 2006. While at Whittier, Ms. Kelleher received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for achieving the highest grade for each course in Immigration and Naturalization Law, Evidence and Corporations. Ms. Kelleher was also on the Dean’s List and Honor Roll for every year of her attendance at the law school.
Ms. Kelleher attended California State University, Long Beach where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science in 2000. Ms. Kelleher has been with the Law Offices of John R. Alcorn since 2000 when she began working as a paralegal and continued while she attended law school.

Sophie AlcornSophie Alcorn was admitted to the State Bar of California in December 2008. In May 2008, she received her J.D. cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. She received the Equal Justice Works Award as well as the Outstanding Law Graduate Award from the National Association of Women Lawyers.
During law school, Ms. Alcorn interned for the Office of Immigration Litigation of the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.; Interfaith Legal Services for Immigrants in St. Louis, Missouri; the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Eastern District of Missouri; the ACLU Washington Legislative Office; and, the ACLU of Eastern Missouri.
Ms. Alcorn received her B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University in 2005. She studied abroad in Moscow, Russia, and Florence, Italy. Ms. Alcorn speaks German and is a dual citizen of the U.S. and Germany. Growing up, Ms. Alcorn spent many summers working for her father at the Law Offices of John R. Alcorn. back to top
